Sergio Drivas brought Kraneia to America 52 years ago when he was a 6 year old.
She was given to him by his grandfather who insisted that young Sergio take good care of her.
Sergio did just that... and she still occupies the safety of the center of his large backyard garden.
They have had quite a life together and it is too bad that he is aging like the mortal he is.
Anyway, Kraneia is tough and the outdoors existence is her reality.
And on a bitter cold night like tonight... Even Tree Spirits Suffer The Cold!

EVEN TREE SPIRITS SUFFER THE COLD (AN EXCERPT)
(Cascades, Virginia)
"My, oh my!" Exclaimed the ever gloriously beautiful Hamadryad of the backyard garden!
She is shivering inside the comfortable space of the thriving Dogwood tree she is forever bonded to!
Her gardener master wrapped her vigorous Dogwood in thick burlap to ward off the frigid cold of this night!
Polar vortex, she heard her master say... what is a polar vortex, she asks herself... she never felt this kind of horrific cold when she was first rooted in Greece fifty years ago!
