The Wilmington, North Carolina atmosphere just turned midnight eerie and ghastly quiet.
The hard core winds, and the battering rains, of the hurricane abruptly just dried-up.
My young friends in the other room, cheering happily, are declaring, "It is over!"
I know better... this is the calm eye of the storm... the true horror will come five minutes!
