OFF THE OCEAN (AN EXCERPT)
(Holden Beach, North Carolina)
It now appeared almost humanoid, but it had scales like a fish,
Extremely long pearl white razor-like teeth, sharp claws on long bony fingers,
Web flaps between each digit, and gills along the neck portion of the body.
Its scales held dark blue colored patches on a gray background throughout its body.
