Tonight, near midnight, 57 year old Mark Jones scribed these few profound words in his bedside journal:

Addy Lu died two weeks ago at 56 years old... Martin Callas died last week at 58 years old!

Louis died four days ago at 62 years old... and Lex Mann died last night at 53 years old!

The spectre of death has murdered all my friends in two weeks... am I to be its next victim on my 58th birthday in two minutes?
