The flashing lights came on.
The car in the front stopped.
The dark night got a little more darker.
And then began the... FEAR OF BEING STOPPED!

Mark Sanford sat in the darkness of his 'stopped on the side of the highway' automobile.
The flashing lights of the police car behind him was the only thing visible in the midnight darkness.
In this part of the deep south, police encounters could be fatal to a black man at this late hour.
He held his breath deep inside his chest as the black Glock tap, tap, tapped the window by his head!
