The Hillman Hotel, built in 1887, was purposely built over a Native American burial ground.
Hatred and disrespect for the local Choctaw tribe was hit home with this obvious sacrilege.
It is true that the ghosts and spirits of warriors from Spirit World continue to walk the dark halls.
And, can one blame them, they will not allow the white man peace of mind and body while inside this building... forever!
